The truth about the Iranian regime’s new president

By Sadegh Pashm-Foroush The day after the announcement of the results of Iran’s sham presidential election, Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei summoned the remaining members of the government of former regime president Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash on May 19. In his remarks to them—indirectly addressing new regime president Massoud Pezeshkian—he warned him and reminded him of the “model” of the president in the regime. The supreme leader repeatedly mentioned Raisi and said, “He is truly a model; we must all learn from him.” He then reiterated the concept of “heartfelt belief and practical commitment” to the regime, which Pezeshkian, like all the election candidates, had committed to. Khamenei stated, “Dear Raisi demonstrated as a model that one can possess these mental, heartfelt, and practical qualities as the president of a country and follow them in practice.” Of course, before the sham election, Pezeshkian repeatedly stated that he would continue Raisi...

Setting Fire To MEK Supporters Van In Sweden

In the early hours of Monday, October 25, 2021, a van belonging to supporters of the People’s Mojahedin of Iran Organization (PMIO/MEK) was set on fire in front of Mr. Hossein Abdi’s house in Stockholm’s Vällingby district. For the past three months, simultaneous with the trial of the henchman, Hamid Noury, in a court in Stockholm, the van was used to transport supplies and food for the Iranians who have been rallying outside the court.

Preliminary observations show that this was a premeditated attack on the vehicle Incendiary materials were used, and the sound of the explosion was heard during the fire. The car of a local resident parked next to the van was also set on fire.

Exactly a month ago, on September 24, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, the clerical regime’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, met with the Swedish Foreign Minister, and referring to the trial of Hamid Noury in Sweden and said that the hypocrites [pejorative name used by the regime to describe the main opposition, the MEK] are behind this plot and conspiracy. He stressed that the court should pay attention to the fact that all the documents and allegations presented in this court were fabricated, which shows the discredited political intentions behind this court process.” A month earlier, a spokesman for the regime’s Foreign Ministry complained about the trial of Hamid Noury, and blatantly said, “The Swedish government and court should know that the trial has become part of a Mujahedin-e Khalq propaganda machine,” adding, “We will naturally use all our diplomatic means to obtain and enforce Hamid Noury’s rights.”

It goes without saying that the only party in Sweden hostile to the MEK, their supporters and their daily rallies in front of the court is the religious fascism ruling Iran and its mercenaries and cronies. The Iranian Resistance urges the Swedish police and relevant judicial authorities to investigate the matter and publish the results of the investigation.
