Hours later, Iranian regime president Masoud Pezeshkian appointed him secretary of the council. Seventy-one-year-old Mohsen Rezaei was one of the founders of the IRGC Intelligence Unit before becoming commander of the Iran-Iraq War. In 1981, at the age of 27, he became commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a position he held for 16 years—the longest tenure as commander of the force. During his tenure, the IRGC’s ground, naval, and air forces were established, the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters was founded, and the IRGC evolved from a paramilitary force into military, security, and economic power. Failure of the Seventh Round of Iran Nuclear Talks

The regime has exploited the appeasement policy to force the Vienna talks into a defective cycle of deception and buys time for making nuclear bombs. Khamenei has tied his destiny to the nuclear program, and Raisi’s mission is the same. Only firmness could break this cycle.



Yesterday, the seventh round of nuclear talks between the Iranian regime and world powers ended in Vienna. According to many international media outlets, European authorities have expressed disappointment and concern about the outcome of the negotiations. Diplomats underlined the Iranian regime’s ambitious demands and questioning of already-agreed documents in previous talks. According to Reuters, “U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Friday said that the latest round of Iran nuclear talks ended because Iran right now does not seem to be serious about doing what is necessary to return to compliance with a 2015 deal.”

Emanuel Macron, the French President, expressed concern about the success of the nuclear talks and the regime’s positions. Macron told reporters that “It is most likely that these negotiations do not continue in the short term.”
Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary-General of the European External Action Service (EEAS) Enrique Mora announced that negotiations would resume next week on behalf of the European Union.

Following the futile negotiations between the P4+1 with the Iranian regime, Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the NCRI, said the regime is buying time to complete its nuclear program.
“As the Iranian Resistance has repeatedly underlined, the mullahs’ regime is trying to buy time to complete its nuclear weapons program through deception and by killing time.” Mr. Mohaddessin said, adding,
“Cheating and undermining the results of the previous negotiations are testaments to this fact. Khamenei has tied his destiny to the nuclear program. Selection of Ebrahim Raisi as President was a hostile and repressive act aiming to confront popular uprisings on the one hand, and openly pursuing nuclear and missile programs, as well as regional warmongering and international adventurism on the other hand,”
“The mullahs’ regime has exploited the appeasement policy to force the Vienna talks into a defective cycle of deception. Only firmness could break this cycle. The six UN Security Council resolutions must be reactivated. The Iranian regime’s nuclear sites should be dismantled, and the regime should halt enriching uranium. The inspection, anywhere and anytime, should be implemented.”
