By Sadegh Pashm-Foroush The day after the announcement of the results of Iran’s sham presidential election, Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei summoned the remaining members of the government of former regime president Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash on May 19. In his remarks to them—indirectly addressing new regime president Massoud Pezeshkian—he warned him and reminded him of the “model” of the president in the regime. The supreme leader repeatedly mentioned Raisi and said, “He is truly a model; we must all learn from him.” He then reiterated the concept of “heartfelt belief and practical commitment” to the regime, which Pezeshkian, like all the election candidates, had committed to. MEETING WITH RT. HON. DAVID JONES AND HON. BOB BLACKMAN, MEMBERS OF THE UK HOUSE OF COMMONS

On February 23, 2023, the Rt. Hon. David Jones, MP, former Secretary of State for Wales and former Brexit Minister of State, and President of the Parliamentary British Committee for Iran Freedom, and the Hon. Bob Blackman, a member of the UK House of Commons, met with Maryam Rajavi and held talks.

During the meeting, Maryam Rajavi expressed gratitude to the representatives of the people of Britain for their unwavering support for democracy and human rights in Iran. She pointed out that despite the clerical regime’s repressive measures and various schemes, it has been unable to dismantle the material foundations of the uprising, nor has it succeeded in eradicating the Resistance Units and the courageous youth who serve as its driving force. The anger and frustration of the Iranian people have reached a boiling point, fueled by poverty, state corruption and plunder, and systematic discrimination, while the vanguard force has gained even more experience, motivation, organization, and strength.

In response, Messrs. Jones and Blackman evoked the long history of oppression endured by the Iranian people under the Shah and the mullahs. They acknowledged that the people’s cries of “death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the mullahs’ supreme leader” resonating throughout the cities of Iran represent a resounding rejection of all forms of dictatorship by the people of Iran

.Furthermore, Messrs. Jones and Blackman addressed a gathering of PMOI members and exploring the Resistance’s Museum at Ashraf-3.
